God has provided everything necessary for His children to become all the He intended for them to be. If we follow His plan for our lives we are guaranteed to become strong Christians.

One of the first steps a new Christian should take is to be baptized in water. The external significance of water baptism can be clearly seen when we examine what the Bible teaches.

The Following is a brief overview of the importance of water baptism:

#1 WHAT IS IT?

The very word Baptism means to dip or immerse. Jesus stressed the vital importance of water baptism when He commanded His followers to baptize all those who became Christians:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
MATTHEW 28:19

Water baptism is far more than a ritual or religious exercise. It is intended to be an essential part of the spiritual foundation of all new Christians. At the time of a believer's baptism, they outwardly affirm the inward commitment they have made to Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life.

#2 WHO IS IT FOR?

All Christians are admonished to be water baptized:

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
MARK 16:16

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
ACTS 2:38

#3 WHEN SHOULD ONE BE BAPTIZED?

A person should be water baptized after they repent of their sins (Acts 2:38), and when they believe in Christ's death and resurrection for their sins (Acts 8:12).

If you have yet to be water baptized, we invite you to join us in this momentous ceremony.

The Bible's final encouragement to you is:

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name.
ACTS 22:16
